So the weather has finally allowed hsband and Father in law to do what farmers do, they are in the fields and planting has begun. After the section are prepped, husband is bringing a tractor up to the house to prep our garden site here. In the meantime, we enjoyed our 3 days worth of spring, now that we are in the high 80s and 90s I hope we’ll get a few more decent weather days for the planting to get done. Today, our to do lost includes such fun adventures as, giving the dog a bath, laundry, and possibly restarting more seeds on the sun porch, since we have had such topsy turvy weather a lot of our pour plants habe not done so well on their seedling abilities. Wish us luck with this garden thing… I think we may need it!
Week 2 of being a stay at home mom, the weather has finally cooperated enough for me to take DJ out and about without too much weather hassle. We got dishes done and laundry folded, just in time to do a shmorgeshborg lunch of PB and Js, yogurt, grapes, and carrots on the playset out in the back yard. DJ insisted on being tired and wanted a nap (hey I am not about to argue wih his logic!).
Once he was up we had a fun filled adventure dropping off mail, going to the local oil, tires, etc place to pay the bill and fill up the car, and rounded it off with a park stop. Fun times had by all, for sure!
So out of the bathroom we went, and onto pinterest for a cheap can make at home way to kill the little suckers. Found a recipe located here:
Placed out my ant bait stations, and was seriously disturbed as they swarmed into the one closest to the sink.
Will hopefully be reporting success in the morning, either that or tomorrow’s post wil be something to the effect of how to effectively move out for a day or two til the bug bomb dust settles. DJ thinks its funny that mommy wants to kill all the ants. I’m not sure whether to be bothered, or if this some of dad’s nonchalantness is poking through there.
Progress! It’s done enough for this gal! Also enclosed is my rake wine glass holder.
Think we’ll leave the redneck wine glasses on the hook, as the normal stemware is a bit too large based for me to feel like it won’t come crashing to the ground in a horrible death.
See what I mean? A good bump to the hutch and they’ll be history. And ya know, in a house with a little boy, much less the second on the way, that hutch is going to get bumped, it’s just a matter of time.
The contact paper is fighting sticking to the hutch with out some heat applied, so I will ironing it on to get it to stick. Also found out that I will need at least 1 more can of paint and 1 to 2 rolls of contact paper to make this work, however, the finished product I think will be pure awesomeness.
